Paddy Leavey, who has returned to Grayling's London office after two years as Head of Public Affairs with The Royal British Legion, was awarded the CIPR's Public Affairs award this week. The award recognised the success of the Legion's 'Honour the Covenant' campaign, which he planned and executed. The campaign lead to the Government tripling the compensation payments made to injured soldiers; the first Government Command Paper dealing with the welfare of service personel; and a 10% increase in fundraising for the organisation.

Bruce Shu has been appointed managing director of Grayling Global in Hong Kong. Formerly a newswire and broadcast journalist, he was a founder of CNBC Asia. A fluent Mandarin speaker, Bruce spent much of his childhood in America.

On 1 June Citigate Public Affairs (CPA) merged with Grayling Political Strategy (GPS), the public affairs arm of Grayling, to create one of the largest and most influential European public affairs companies. Grayling’s combined public affairs offer will now have 40 staff in Europe in its wholly-owned offices in London, Brussels, Edinburgh and Cardiff, with combined PA revenues of approximately £3 million per year.
